GLOBAL "DUNK MALARIA" PROGRAM AIMS TO HELP ELIMINATE MALARIA WORLDWIDE

WHAT:A press conference to announce the United Nations New York Office of Sport for Development and Peace support for the official "Dunk Malaria" kick off on Wednesday, March 15 at the New York Knicks vs Atlanta Hawks game at Madison Square Garden, when fans in attendance will be invited to dunk into a mini-basket passed around the arena to show their support.
This is the inaugural "Dunk Malaria" event for Malaria Action Day on Sunday, March 19. Dunk Malaria was conceived by Hedge Funds vs. Malaria to raise awareness and funds to eliminate Malaria around the world. More than a million people a year die from Malaria, most of them children living in Africa. The urgent goal is to have as many people as possible dunk a ball through a basketball hoop of any kind to raise awareness and funds for the cause.
