Manav Sadhna in Ahmedabad, a NGO inspired by the Gandhian principles of truth and non-violence organized 200 children to be educated about and Dunk Malaria.

 ...it was a blast with 200 kids at the ashram today shooting the basketball for Dunk the Malaria project. We started with the prayer and bhajan. Than the kids were educated about Malaria and prevention for 15 minutes by two PHD volunteer Paulami and Hiten from Oxygen Health co. The kids were told about this project and how it is connected with the basketball. They loved that idea. Then we told them that each kid will get to shoot twice and when some one makes the basket a donor was motivated to give 10 rupees per basket.   The kids were so pumped up and were very serious about making the basket to contribute for a good cause. Please look at the pictures and the list attched.200 kids attempted 400 shots 57 shots were made as per the list. So 570 rupees were raised today with soooo much fun education, and idea of giving.
