Malaria kills more than 1 million people worldwide every year. In Africa alone, one child dies from it every 30 seconds. But thousands of those lives can be saved each year with a simple $10 mosquito net.
In 2006-07 Core Cares in sponsoring Malaria No More in a worldwide effort to stamp out malaria. Malaria No More conducts a mosquito net distribution program. Each $10 donation to Malaria No More covers the cost of a a single insecticide-treated full-bed size mosquito net, it’s distribution to those who need it and education on how to use it properly. And each bed net can save 2 or more children’s lives in a year. Our goal is to raise funds for 100,000 bed nets in just 6 weeks - between November 7, 2006 and December 12, 2006 and to present the final amount raised at the White House Summit to End Malaria in December 2006.
